The bill will be referred to parliament standing committee. 2) Company Law Settlement Scheme has been extended up to 15th January 2012. 3) Defunct companies can pay Rs. 5000/- to ROC and get their name strike off under the fast tract scheme (FTS) without filing any pending returns. 4) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) has been renamed as Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) and this may result in identity crisis for Chartered Accountants whose institute name is also ICAI.
